Summary 🎥
Mark (Steven Yuen) faces the consequences of his fight with Angstrom Levy(Sterling K. Brown) and the reality of what's required to save his family and the planet.
Can Mark live up to the name…
Thoughts 🧐
Season 3 of Invincible (2025) is impressive.
Mark has grown into a young man and found his own path after the brutal fight with his Angstrom Levy in season 2. He's finally pursuing a relationship with Eve (Gillian Jacobs), helping his mother, Debbie (Sandra Oh), raising his little brother Oliver (Christian Convery), and preparing for the next threat to Earth. Things are going well, which is always the calm before the storm in this show.
Don't worry. Brutal action is still a staple of the show, as in previous seasons!
We know Mark is a Viltrumite who seems Invincible, but he constantly gets the DBZ Saiyain treatment to get stronger. Even with his improved strength, his enemies fold him like laundry. I love that Mark uses the Rocky Balboa approach to fighting.
“It ain’t about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward” - Rocky Balboa
Redemption is a central theme of season 3.
Cecil's (Walter Goggins) backstory and training explain why he advocates redemption. He required it and now extends that same pathway to others. Mark, on the other hand, is vehemently against giving a second chance. Idealistically, he believes there is only right and wrong. The theme of redemption will extend into season 4, when Omni-Man inevitably returns to Earth. Are you ready to forgive Omni-Man?
There is a noticeable difference in art quality in the last episode.
On social media, there were complaints that the art wasn't as crisp as it could be, and there is some validity to that. In an earlier season, the writers poked fun at themselves in response to complaints of lazy animation. The final episode of season 3 had some of the best animation we've seen on the show. The animation for all seasons works and doesn't take away from the experience.

Mark vows to take the Wonder Woman approach to his rogues gallery after his fight with Conquest.
One of Invincible's biggest fears is that no matter how hard he tries, he will become the thing he hates the most, his father. In season 2, Mark didn't want to kill Angstrom Levy, but it had to be done. Thinking he was a killer haunted him psychologically. After fighting Conquest and realizing that the Viltrumites have no mercy for women, children, or anything weaker than them, Invincible has to take another step in his father's footsteps and fight like a true Viltrumite. This means accepting that some threats must be dealt with… permanently.
Will this change degrade Mark as a hero? I don't think so. It will make him more empathetic to what his father endured to survive. He will become a warrior who understands humanity and wants to avoid the horrors of war but knows that he is capable of that level of violence to protect those he loves. Mark has already experienced the threat of losing everything; now, he will become someone far more dangerous.
“The most dangerous creation of any society is the man who has nothing to lose.” - James Baldwin
I’m looking forward to Invincible’s journey in season 4.
Verdict ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Invincible Season 3(2025) is an excellent addition to the series, with brutal action and a theme of redemption.
Each actor does well at giving life to their character. The story still evolves and will keep you engaged if the fierce action does not.
By Viltrumite decree, this show is worth the watch.
